Fresno State Athletics Centennial

Logo Design & Visual Identity System

In 1921, Fresno State Teachers College began competing in its first intercollegiate football season. A bulldog, with an appetite at lunchtime, was soon adopted by the students and brought to the football games. The Fresno Morning Republican newspaper first referred to “Fresno State’s Bulldogs” and the University’s branding was born. In this same regard, Fresno State Athletics Centennial visual identity focused on highlighting the past memories and milestones, with a hunger for what’s ahead!

All of these graphics were designed while employed at California State University, Fresno.
